Tang Peng is an engineering doctoral graduate from Kyoto University, Japan, who is serving as the executive editor for the Frontier of Architectural Research, executive director for the Computational Design Committee of the Architectural Society of China, and a member of National Key Laboratory of Urban and Architectural Heritage Conservation of Ministry of Education. She is also a member of the Architectural Society of China and a member of the Architectural Institute of Japan. She is mainly engaged in architectural design related to the renewal and conservation of traditional architectural settlements, as well as theoretical research and teaching of the application of digital technologies in related fields.

She has led and been involved in the designs of more than 20 engineering projects. The design works, which integrate theoretical research and teaching practice, have been presented in many international high-level architectural design exhibitions, including the 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale and 2017 Seoul World Architects Congress of International Union of Architects.

Her research focuses on the conservation methods for traditional settlements based on digital technologies, and her achievements were awarded the first prize of the 2017 Huaxia Construction Science and Technology Award (third place). In recent years, she has led the undertaking of relevant projects funded by NSFC, as well as provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, and participated in several major scientific research projects, including those pertaining to the science and technology pillar program during the 12th Five-Year Plan Period, and key research and development projects during the 13th Five-Year Plan Period. She has published more than 40 papers in core journals at home and abroad.
