Chao Yaoming, associate professor and postgraduate advisor for the School of Architecture, Southeast University, registered urban planner. Since 2000, he has been teaching in School of Architecture of Southeast University, focusing on the urban planning and theory courses of undergraduate students.

The main research direction is urban planning and theory, urban design, urban renewal research. He has published monograph Residential-Employment Space and Coordinated Development Mechanism of New Town，published more than 20 papers.

He has presided over and participated in 4 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China，presided over and participated in more than 50 projects of urban planning and design, and won many awards in domestic and international competitions.
