Zhu Gejing graduated from the Institute of Architecture, Southeast University and received a octorate in Architectural History and Theory. From September 2015 to September 2016, he was a visiting scholar in the Department of East Asian language and Civilization of the University of Pennsylvania. She is mainly engaged in the research and teaching of Asian Architecture and Urban History and Theory, as well as related heritage protection, and continues to carry out the research on Chinese architectural history. She has published 2 monographs, more than 40 papers; presided over or participated in nearly 20 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects. Her representative works include Beijing Urban Research in Liao, Jin and Yuan Dynasties (2016),Housing: I to VI of a series of Studies from Traditional Chinese Housing to Related Issues (2016-2017), Fracture or Continuation: History, Design, Theory-Review and Reflection on the Discussion of “National Form” In Architectural Journal Around 1980 (2014), etc. She has launched the series of international cooperation research and annual seminar on the “Annotation and Translation of Chinese Ancient Architectural Terms” (ATTCAT) (2018 -). In recent years, she has further expanded efforts in the direction of architecture and cities in Asia, and set up a series of courses in team cooperation to guide the mapping, investigation and research of the world cultural heritage site in Kathmandu Valley, Nepal.
