Zhang Xu is a registered architect of SIA (Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects). He graduated from ETH with a master’s degree in architecture. He has many years of architectural practice at home and abroad. At present, he teaches architectural construction I, architectural construction II, architectural design and construction process and architectural design courses at Southeast University. Architectural practice and teaching research pay attention to the basic problems of construction, and pay attention to the consistency of design ideas and construction. He is committed to exploring the strategy and method of architectural design under the conditions of semi industrialization and semi-manual construction in China through architectural practice and teaching research, focusing on the problems of design and construction, structure and space, structure and performance, etc.
