Dr. Hequn MIN, is recipient of the prestigious China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Award, and recipient of the prestigious Jinqiao Outstanding Contribution Project Award (ORCID:https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8027-6204). In 2013, he was selected for the Southeast University overseas talent introduction program and has been serving as an associate professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Architecture of Southeast University. He obtained his bachelor's degree and master's degree in environmental engineering from the College of Civil Engineering and Architecture at Southeast University in 2003 and 2006 respectively (supervisor Professor Fu Dafang), and a PhD degree in acoustics from the Institute of Acoustics at Nanjing University in 2010 (supervisor Professor Qiu Xiaojun). From 2010 to 2013, he worked as a research fellow in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, focusing on the active control of fluid-induced ultra-micro vibrations. In 2017, he visited the Centre for Sustainable Development in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge as a CSC visiting scholar.

His research areas include: new green high-performance sound-absorbing structures, lightweight thin-layer high-sound insulation structures (equipment casing structures, building partition structures), and smart information maps of urban sound environment; environmental and building acoustic field prediction, and control of noise and vibration both actively and passively. He actively carries out relevant scientific research around the major application demands of the state, such as the key areas of GF, aerospace, energy transportation, and urban governance, and has completed a number of National Natural Science Foundation projects, Jiangsu Province Natural Science Foundation projects, and National Twelfth Five-Year Science and Technology Support Program projects. His research results have been published in over 50 SCI/EI papers in important international academic journals, more than 30 granted patents, 4 Chinese-language books, 1 English-language book, and 1 English-language book chapter, including many academic papers published in the top international acoustics journal: Journal of the Acoustical Society of America.

He places a high value on conducting scientific research and technological innovation in collaboration with industry and academia that is guided by major application needs. Relevant technological research and development has formed a complete system of innovation between industry, academia, and research, and has produced a series of results that can be promoted, and has established mature and stable cooperation between industry, academia, and research in more than 20 regions throughout China, achieving significant social and economic benefits. Successful cases include over 10 national major/important demand projects such as the evaluation and design of the national advanced light source XX micro-vibration special project, the development and design of the high-performance noise-reducing structure of the HJ-XXX activity platform of the new generation of carriers, the efficient noise reduction design and renovation of the FK experimental hall of China Aviation Industry XXX, the high-performance noise reduction design and engineering of the China Aero-Engine XXX engine test stand, and the passive composite noise reduction design and test of the XXX cabin and its ventilation ducts, which have made a due contribution to the noise control industry in the country. They also include over 100 key projects on noise reduction and vibration reduction such as the comprehensive control demonstration application of noise at the Southwest Oil and Gas Field gas transmission station of China National Petroleum Corporation, the development and demonstration application of new efficient noise-reducing materials for power transformers of the national power grid, the research on noise control technology for ultra-long underwater tunnels (Haitai), the evaluation of the vibration impact of the ZTE communication three blocks under the external loop project of Ningwu Railway, the pilot demonstration of the new noise map in Nanjing, the evaluation of the sound environment impact and the demonstration of the new noise map around Nanjing airport, and the demonstration project of the new road traffic noise barrier in Jiangsu Province, providing high-performance solutions to the environmental protection and environmental comfort of key industries in the country and playing a leading and demonstration role in innovation. He is a well-known expert in the field of national environmental acoustics and vibration, who has made outstanding contributions in the research, development, application and promotion of new technologies and new products. In 2022, he was awarded the China-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Award (Individual) (the highest and prestigious honor for national cooperation in innovation and research), and his High-Performance Ultra-Micro Perforated Absorber was awarded the Outstanding Contribution Project Award at the 11th China Technology Market Golden Bridge Award (the highest and authoritative award for technological innovation and applications) in 2022.
