Dr. Fu Xiuzhang, as an associate professor in School of Architecture, Southeast University, is a council member of Building Physics Branch of the Architectural Society of China, a council member of Architectural Acoustics Branch of the Acoustical Society of China, and a member of Architectural Acoustics Branch of China Acoustics Standardization Committee. Since 1993, he has been teaching in School of Architecture of Southeast University, focusing on the Building and Urban Physics courses of undergraduate and postgraduate students. He was a senior visiting scholar of School of Architecture of ETH Zurich, Switzerland in 2002-2003.

Dr. Fu has a wide research interest in Building Physics, and his research areas include architectural acoustics, building energy performance, building ventilation and urban physical environment, etc. He attended writing the teaching book Building Physics published in 2010 for undergraduate students of Major Architecture in China, and published an eBook of Building Physics in 2010 as first editor. He has been teaching the MOOC named Fundamental of Building Physics since 2018 (https://www.icourse163.org/course/SEU-1003361015), He published more than 40 papers in Journals and Conferences, 5 academic books and 10 Chinese patents. In practice, He finished more than 10 acoustical design projects of Auditoria, sports centers, meeting centers and concert halls and several building energy performance design projects.
