Wan Tingting, is a PhD, postgraduate advisor and French National Registered Architect. She graduated with a Master's Degree from Southeast University in Architecture History and Theory (China), and from École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Belleville (France). She got a Doctorate degree in Urban Planning from the Université Paris Nanterre (France). Her main research interests are architectural and urban history and theory and heritage conservation, its planning and design, and the sustainable conservation and regeneration of historic towns from the perspective of sociology and anthropology.

In recent years, she has presided over the Youth Science Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and participated in the 14th Five-Year National Key Research supported by the National Key Research and Development Program of China of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Paris Lumière Research Fund Research Project and Plan Urbanisme Construction Architecture (PUCA) Research Projects. She has published more than ten papers in journals in China and abroad, such as Urban Development Studies, China City Planning Review and Built Heritage. She has been invited to give reports in international conferences and research centers such as ICOMOS Scientific Symposium, Raymond Lemaire International Centre for Conservation (RLICC), AESOP Annual Congress, and French National Centre for Scientific Research.

In combining theory with practice, she has worked in Architectural Planning Agencies in France and participated in several projects such as the protection and reuse of the Palais de Justice in Paris, France, the reuse of Dampierre Castle in France, and the renovation and addition of the Verdun City Hall in France. In China, she has participated in several conservation and renewal projects, such as Research and Planning on the overall pattern of the Protection and inheritance of Urban and Rural History and Culture Heritage of Jiangsu Province, Survey and Research on historic villages in Dongyang, Zhejiang Province, the Conservation Plan of the Huai'an Section and Suqian Section of Grand Canal, Survey and Research on historic Villages Shijiagou in Shanxi Province, etc.
